Funnies...

  • The other day, Brackon hurt me when he stepped on me. I was fake crying and he comes over with a very concerned look on his face and says, "are you okay mom?" I said "yeah, I need a kiss," so he kissed me and said, "do you want some juice?" :)
  • When we start to say a prayer, Brack will hold up his hand and say, "hey dad, my turn." He'll bow his head and clothes his eyes and say "Mom, Dad, A-Men" and then looks at us with a big smile!!!
  • When we were at Shelley's today, his prayer was a little longer, he included Shell, Chan, and Mason!
  • Tonight, when we put him down for bed, he kept coming out. I told him if he came out again, I would have to shut the door. He came out with a blanket over his head... as if I wouldn't be able to see him!
  • A while ago, we were at Ryan's house and we got talking about how big "Shelley's" mouth is. Random, I know. So Ryan got out his tape measure and started measuring everyone's mouths. Today, we were at Shelley's and Brackon brings over this tape measure and holds it up to my face. He opened his mouth as a motion for me to do the same, so I did and then he moved on to measuring Chany's mouth. I don't even remember him watching when we were at Ryan's. In fact, after I opened my mouth, it took me a while to even remember doing that at Ryan's! Oh, the things kids watch! :)
  • Brackon has been playing a lot with our dog lately. He wrestles, tackles, kisses, hugs, takes down, rides, and even jumps over our poor little Pepper. She is so good though. He even fakes like he is sleeping on her and fakes snoring (as if she is his pillow).
  • One time, our dog was like wimpering. Brackon gave her a hug and said, "don't be sad puppy. It's okay."
  • One day we were eating a salad and it had green peppers in it. Brackon said, "mom what's this?" I said, "a pepper". He said, "a puppy?" I said, "no, a green pepper" He said, "a green pepper?!" I said yep! ...He calls Pepper, Puppy.
  • Every morning when he wakes me up, he says, "I want to go see Chan, Mason and Shell, K!" and he shakes his head yes and says, "let's go mom, get up!" If I don't get up, he will pull the blankets off of me.
  • Today, after Brack and I took a shower, I had him take our clothes into the laundry room. He usually just throws them in there on the floor. When I went to get the load out of the dryer today, he had put our dirty clothes in there! ...Lovely! What a big helper!
  • Brack likes to call Fire Trucks- Ambulances. Everytime I say, what color he says Blue. I say "no, they are yellow" (ours are yellow weird eh?!) Same goes for buses. I say "no, they are yellow," he says, "no mom Blue!"
  • I was talking with my mom on the phone one day and she asked if Brackon could use scissors. We got talking about how when she subs like 1st grade some kids can't cut paper. I have never even let Brackon play with my scissors and we don't have a little pair. I was going to the bathroom and it was really quiet. I forgot to shut the door to our office and Brackon was sitting on my desk cutting up all my important notes I had. I text my mom and said, "yes, Brackon can use scissors!" It was so random though, that we were talking about it and then that day he picked them up and started using them!!! Crazy.

Brackon will be so glad you are writing all this down. My kids love reading the journals I keep for them. You have inspired me to do better. Thanks.

I loved reading about Mr. Brack. He is one cute kid. Good idea to write it down, I agree with Jess. Fun for Grandma Bev to read too. BARB
