So I realize it has been a while since I last posted! We only have one and a half more weeks until this little boy is going to show us how cute he is! Brackon is getting anxious! He told me the other day, "please mom, I just want the baby to come out!" We have been having fun at our house lately. Brackon is holding his gun behind the chair. I am not sure where he got this idea...This is really what I have been up to!!! I am making some quilts for the boys' room, have painted their room, and trying to get a bookshelf re-stained. I am officially "nesting". Good thing I have a great teacher, my dear grandma, that I can call and get help with!!! I have thoroughly enjoyed this!!! If I would have known how expensive it was going to be I probably wouldn't have done it, so maybe it is a good thing that I didn't know it was going to be expensive!!! I want to make a diaper bag, but wonder if it would be cheaper to just go buy the one I have my eyes on! I plan on hopefully getting a few more projects finished before this little boy makes his presence!
Brackon rode his bike with the missionaries to the neighbors house and must have noticed their backpacks. The next day he wanted me to go get his "suitcase" as he calls it! ..."I hope they call me on a mission..."
Of course, Brackon wanted me to take a picture of Pepper... Brackon loves riding his bike in circles and has Pepper chase him.
- I gave Brackon some cards... he was laying them out on the fireplace. He said, "mom, you're so nice."
- We were driving around town and Brackon saw a bicycle and an electric scooter, he said, "that's a pretty bike." ...like father like son.
- Speaking of bikes, Dusty was washing his with his old sock, before you know it, Brack has his bike and tricycle lined up next to Dusty's and he runs inside to get a sock out of his drawer. Dusty was spitting on his bike to clean it (pretty professional, eh) and Brackon was doing the same thing!
- We invited a friend over to play with Brackon. We pulled up to his house and Brackon pranced on up to the front door. He opened the door and said, "J do you want to come to my house? Come on... (grabs his hand) let's go!" When the got home, he introduced his friend to Pepper, "Pepper, this is my friend, J." soo funny!
- We were eating dinner and I had made Rhodes rolls. Dusty went to grab a second one and Brackon told him, "dad, mom says you've had enough." And tilts his head and gives him "the look"!
- It is one of Brackon's jobs to feed Pepper everyday. He looks at Pepper, through the glass door and says "Pepper, say please... do you want some food... say please!" He waits a minute and says, "good job Pepper." And goes to get his food.
I am glad to have such a good boy. It will be interesting to see how he reacts to a baby. I know he is going to be a very good helper! Dusty is out of town tonight. He travels quite a bit. About 800-1000 miles a week. He has one over-nighter a week. It isn't too bad now, but when the baby comes, I think it will be a different story!
My spa business has picked up quite a bit. I have 4 spas this week and 3 next week. So, the baby has got to stay cookin' at least up to the day his is due! I have had some contractions but not too terribly painful. I am so grateful I have something to keep my mind off my due date. And something that will be a great get-a-way once I am a mother of two! I scheduled my first spa for after the baby. Kinda makes me nervous. I figure we'll worry about it once it gets closer... :)
