we're alive!

so life has been crazy getting back into the "normal" routine... what is normal anyway?!

brack took the picture above! BAD HAIR DAY... but cute one of coop... he looks a little hesitant... brack drew the picture below and taped it to our door... he actually has been liking coloring and drawing... he asks me how to spell things and how to write certain letters. as you can see, he has the "H" and the "O" down! usually he puts little smiley faces in his circles... i mean "O's" :)
cooper is really discovering things with his mouth! he likes to pick up toys with his mouth and just keep them there... we have a hard time feeding him cuz he will bite the spoon and i can not get it out!!!! he LOVES food!
we just love this little smile! sometimes he smiles so big and he will raise his eyebrows... it is the cutest thing...
hoo-ray! mom gave me the spoon!!! today was a milemark... HE IS A CRAWLER! i don't know if i am really ready for this stage... not much we can do, but put everything away! he actually crawled a little yesterday, but today he is SOOOO excited about it! we put him standing up to this chair and he was in HOG heaven!!! huge smiles... so big it looked like he could hardly contain himself!!oops!!! he fell, but he's still smiling!
of course, life REALLY wouldn't be the same with out this LIGHT of my life!

i was actually inspired by a DEAR FRIEND of mine!!! she is such an inspiration!!! it felt good to just LET LOOSE!! give it a try!!!

so i have been contemplating a few things... well, first things first... i was recently called to be the first counselor in our primary presidency at church... we have about 25 kids... we divide them into 5 classes, which happens to be 5 in each class. we as a presidency oversee those called to teach the classes and help inspire the kids to become like our Savior.

the other night, i had a dream. have you ever had a dream and it makes you wonder why you dreamt it? my dream has kept me thinking.

it moved me.
made me think.
i couldn't sleep.
at first i was thinking it wasn't "anything"
and then i got thinking about lehi's dream...
it is important.
i had to get up and jot my thoughts down.
it has made me really ponder CHANGE.
it is something we all go through.
life inevitably has CHANGE.
we have to adjust to it.
embrace it.
change comes whether we like it or not.
we grow with change.

"selfishness in the individual may be overcome by subjugation and resistance. there is no development of character without resistance; there is no growth of spirituality without overcoming." ~david o. mckay

when we "don't want change"... it is okay... but we have to learn to "deal" with it, because it is coming! i love what it says in the bible:

"to every thing there is a season, and a time to every person under the heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to get, and a time to cast away; a time to rend, and a time to sew; a tiem to keep silence, and a time to speak; a time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace." ecclesiastes 3:1-8

i am learning.
balance.
family life.
church life.
friends.
hobbies.
homemaking.
etc.

there is so much i want to do! so much time... time is of the essence. and we never know when our time will be ended here on the earth, so we have to make the best of it. leave our mark.

why do people resist change?
fear?
they get too comfortable?
i LOVE change.
maybe others are like me...
we moved here over a year ago. it has been LIFE-CHANGING... to say the least.
i think it goes back to ATTITUDE.
life is what we make of it.
BLOOM WHERE YOU'RE PLANTED.
i recently ran across this article on becoming the woman of your dreams. it is really inspiring and uplifting!
until the next post... :)

What an inspiring post. Seriously, I read it twice, and I plan on going back to it. I LOVE the talk you refered to by Pres. Hinckley.

This post was just motivating. I know what you mean about change! It comes, and sometimes it's scary, but if we invite the Lord on the journey, He'll help us to change for the better. I realized the other day that I CANNOT change into the person I desire to be WITHOUT HIM. He helps me see who I am and who I can be. Reading your post helped remind me.

Thank you. It has been nice to get to know you again (and your darling family), even though we are miles apart.

P.S. I'm so glad you are dancing with your boys!! Doesn't it just lighten and brighten the mood in the home... I LOVE it.

Linz- I had to take a moment to tell you that you inspire me and I love you and I think you're an amazing woman, mom, wife, friend, sister, daughter. You magnify your life and all you've been given in so many ways. Thank you for all you teach me!
