miracle from heaven

today is jordan's birthday.
it would be his 28th.
instead of celebrating here, he is in heaven.
a few things i remember about jordan:

• how much he loved my sister and how much he showed her by the way he treated her and took care of her.
• what a GREAT, LOVING, INVOLVED, FUN, HAPPY, father.
• i remember when they dated in high school. i remember shell and i staying up late "talking to him" on the phone. i remember us trying to think of reasons we could call him back... i remember them watching movies together
  
• i remember shell going to ALL of his baseball games
• i remember the day he left for his mission and how sad shell was, but i also remember how she made a decision to "go on her own mission"
• she was faithful to him and didn't date
  
• she wrote a letter EVERY week
• and she got one EVERY week from him
• i remember her studying her scriptures EVERY day and learning and growing sooo much.
  
• i remember the day he came home from his mission, a week early, to surprise Shell. i still remember that day. his BIG HUGE grin, waiting to go surprise shell!!! oh my! how could i EVER forget that day!
• i remember the feeling i had when i dated boys ...jordan had to approve. i remember how special that made me feel.
  
• i remember them walking out of the temple, how happy they were, just 6 weeks after he got home from his mission.
• i remember shell telling us she was pregnant about 3 months after they'd gotten married! we were all shocked!!! :) but excited!
• i remember how much he LOVED coming home to a good home cooked meal! and how much he loved eating!
  
• i remember mason being born and how excited he was to have a son! all the plans he had for him and mas.
• i remember going to the mingo house on sundays and there jordan was, looking at all the ads, dreaming of what he wanted to buy next, but it had to be a good deal! i remember he was looking to get a big screen tv, he had all the ads cut out and paper clipped of the "best deals"!
• the only day he watched tv on sunday was the super bowl...
• and then, i remember that dreadful day. the day we couldn't find him.
• i remember when i heard that he wasn't going to be at the reunion, i was going to call him and give him a hard time that he was going to miss it, but he was going with his brother and dad, who could dispute that?!!!

we love you jordan and miss you sooo much!!!!
shell is still being as faithful as ever and continues to grow in the gospel and teach and guide her kids in the way the Lord would want them to grow... just like your goal...

just like christ was a miracle from heaven, i believe jordan was a miracle.
