unforgetable experience

unfortunately i didn't get a picture of his very sweet wife, Norma.
they live in Tennessee
we went to see them over the weekend.
we had a GREAT time!
we went to this ginormous fun park
had a lot of fun
and made some great memories

the best memory was watching dusty try to get out of this!
perhaps another favorite was watching these two
and how much they are ALIKE!!!!

same thoughts

same height
we went to this drive-thru safari zoo.
we saw animals that we didn't even know what they were!
wart hogs, kangaroos, zebras, giraffes, deer, donkeys, etc.!!!
it was such a great weekend, spending time with family that we haven't had the opportunity to get to know very well.

pops' dad died when he was only 12
he left his home when he was 14
he was raised southern baptist, but hasn't been to church for a while

recently, he started going to a Lutheran church
he has been "searching"
we offered for them to come to church with us.
and they did!
when we got to church, there weren't very many people there
i felt strongly that there were a lot of angels in the room (their family) and they were so excited for them to be there.
the spirit during testimony meeting was soo strong, i don't think i could ever forget it.
i hope they remember the feeling they felt there.

after we got home, dusty remembered that we recently had the missionaries over
they challenged us to pray for someone that we could share the gospel with.
how awesome.
what better than to share the gospel with your family.
brought tears to my eyes.
