this is a determined face
almost ready to give up.
good thing cooper was really patient
even if he screamed the whole time! :)to teach 'em how to work.
and our kids are never to young to learn about HONESTY.
the other day, we came home from playgroup and brack pulls out some money and says, "mom look at all this money!"
me: where did you get it?
brack: i've had it for a while.
me: brack, are you telling the truth?
brack: yeah.
me: brack, you're not going to get in trouble, but you need to tell the truth. did you get it from ------ house? tell me the truth.
brack: yeah.
so we listened to a standin tall book about honesty.
it's about the greatest treasure of all.
about a little girl who learns to be honest through a few different examples.
after one example, brack said, "she told the truth"
well, i wanted it to be HIS choice to take back the money
so i paused the book and said, you have two choices: either keep the money or take it back.
what do you want to do?
brack: keep the money.
oh boy!!! so we listened to the rest of the book and by the end he decided to take it back.
woo hoo!!!
could you imagine what i would've taught him if i just told him he could keep the money.
i would've taught him SOMETHING! right?
whether good or bad?!!!
never too young

Oh Linzy! I can't imagine. I know that will be coming my way soon. What a good example you were by teaching him through patience. I don't know what I would have said or done if my kid told me they were going to keep it. Yikes! I'm glad he chose the right!
