a getaway and a FuNnY story

while dusty was working, we stayed and played at the hotel... we tried to go swimming, but it was FREEZING cold! so we came back and jumped in the jacuzzi! we dumped a whole bottle of their body wash stuff and turned the jets on... waaa laaa!!! we had fun. needless to say, brackon's eczema broke out on his face from all this, but it was fun while it lasted!!!

of course, it wouldn't be the same without WATCHING TV! he acts like he has never seen a TV before when he goes to a hotel... although, since we don't have cable, he does get to watch PBS kids. which he loves!

on to the funny story...

we like walmart. okay. i like walmart. since we don't have one where we live... i know, i can't believe it either... when we see one, i just WANT to go in and look around! we went in for fingernail clippers. went through the line twice. got out to the car and we realized we forgot the clippers. so i went back in to get them and dusty stayed in the car.

as i was walking out of the store, i was in my own world. thinking about how i just love walmart. they have everything. one stop shopping! actually, i was thinking about christmas shopping.

i saw the back of dusty's black car up ahead. i was just looking around, not paying too much attention. i got to the right of the car and i saw a white subaru... i thought, oh, that is a cute car. and then i thought... oh man... i have been here way to long!!! everyone drives subaru's here.

so i open the door to the black car and realize that it WAS NOT dusty in that car. it was a lady. i said, "oops, wrong person!" and slammed the door shut. i turn around and dusty was right there!!!!

he totally busted me! so in my mind i want to run and get out of sight as quick as i can. meanwhile dusty is laughing his head of in his car and he keeps driving... i think just instinct. so finally, i stop. he realizes he had kept driving and he finally stops. he is laughing so hard tears are running down his face! he can hardly talk! i didn't know whether to laugh or cry. so i just laughed with him. i start telling him, you should have seen that lady... he looks over and says, you opened the door? i was like yeah! and he laughed EVEN HARDER! i didn't think he would ever stop! pretty funny.

i was looking for pictures to put here to show you the difference between dusty's car and the one i tried getting into and couldn't find a good one. BUT, even brackon noticed the difference. he said, hey, that's dads car. i said, what about this one... he said NO. funny!
