Easter

i told brackon this year that we (dust and i) were going to be the easter bunny this year.
he seemed fine with it and then a couple days later,
he asked "so, how does the Easter bunny know not to come here?"
lol
so i talked dusty into letting the boys enjoy the fun of having an Easter bunny
we went and got them a toy and a chocolate bunny
well, brackon found his toy the night before
so we decided to just give the chocolate bunny from "Easter bunny"

Easter morning brackon comes into our room and says mom, "i saw the chocolate bunny on the couch"
i was like what? the Easter bunny came?
he didn't believe me, he said, 'i thought you were the easter bunny?"
so i say, "dust, did you put that chocolate bunny on the couch?
we tried to play it up
well, he leaves and comes back and says, mom, if the Easter bunny came then how come i can't find any eggs
oh my goodness
i say, "go keep looking! i'm sure they're somewhere!"
i tell dust, we gotta hide some eggs! go distract the boys and i'll do the hidding!
a little later, dusty goes to hide some up in their room
well, he took the eggs from the hunt the day before at the church
and those eggs had WRAPPERS in them!!!
brack says, why did the Easter bunny give me wrappers in my eggs?
and as dusty was leaving their room, brackon somehow bumped into dusty's leg pocket
and heard the candy (he was supposed to put in the eggs)
and brack says, what's that dad?
he says, my candy.
from what?
i found some eggs from the Easter bunny too!
oh my goodness...

dusty asks brackon what we celebrate Easter for?
of course, brackon says, eggs, Easter bunny!!!
dusty gives me "the look"
so i tell brackon, remember the empty tomb?
i'm sure the Easter bunny left ONE egg empty!
you better go find it!!!!
a little while later brackon comes back with an empty egg
a different color than the empty egg the Easter bunny hid
he said he found it on the counter!
LOL!!!!!

i had to be at the church at 8 to get ready to sing with the choir
so these pictures were taken when we got home from church
we did color eggs
it was the first time at our house
took about 10 minutes

cooper had a lot of fun

he did yellow and then green

yeah for green!
and right after my boys wanted to eat an egg, so they did.
