gatlinburg

 one day dusty was leaving for work for a few days
and i was following him around the house
watching him pack and gather his things
he hugged and kissed me, said good-bye
then said, you should really come with me one of these times
i said, should we?
of course!
so we packed in about 15 minutes and headed out the door
not even sure where we would stay or what we'd do while he worked
how's that for spontaneous?!

 

 

it turned out to be so much fun!
our hotel happened to be just down the road from the aquarium
so we walked down there
along the way, we saw a momma and her little ducklings

the aquarium was awesome
we were there a few hours

when we got back to the hotel, we rested up a little

and then dusty came and we went on this lift
dusty took cooper with him
and i had brack and the baby

i didn't really think about it
you sit down and the bar comes forward
no seat belt
just like sitting in a chair
it moves really slow
but, i was a bit terrified
brack was hanging on for dear life
i was trying to act calm
a lot of nervous talk
i put my purse around my shoulder
and held on to gray a little tighter (almost so tight he stopped breathing, ha, ha)
and then i slipped my little pinky through the loop on his pants
tried to enjoy the ride
my legs were tense

and the view from the top was beautiful

but then we had to go back down
that was even more nerve racking

glad we made it safe!

then on the way home, we were zonked
dusty took these pictures WHILE DRIVING!

i guess whatever it takes to stay awake while your passengers sleep eh?

and awake happy!

brack is a heavy sleep, can you tell!!!
