the beginning of our new life

we made it
we are living in temporary housing for a few weeks until we find a place to rent
we went to wal-mart today
something i haven't been able to do for a while.
i hate to admit, but i love that store.
it has everything i need
...and more...

all of a sudden, i hear this "destiny" "destiny, where are you?"
a frantic mom searching for her daughter
practically running down the isles
my heart drops
i start to tear up as i think about what it would feel like if i had lost one of my kids

it made me think of my Heavenly Father
it made me think about 'what happens when someone is lost'
we go after them
we run to find them
we yell and scream
we get help

the parallel between this and when children go astray from the gospel
if only the lord could yell, scream and try to get help for us
that is what He does, right?
he uses others to help 'us' come back to Him.

hmm...

dusty has been working here now for just over a week
he is in oklahoma for three days
will be home tomorrow
he is LOVING it
a breath of fresh air (not literally, it is so dang humid, i can barely breathe)
our boys aren't used to the heat either
both have fallen asleep in the car, just driving around town!

we are obiously not used to this heat and humidity.
something i plan to work on: Getting Prepared
the one thing i am really excited about is the re hydration kit!
it is supposed to be the same thing as getting an iv when you're dehydrated
which, whenever dusty gets sick he has to get an iv because he is so dehydrated!
i can't wait for him to get sick so we can try it out!!!
i will definately be using this now, though, to make sure we stay hydrated

because dust was out of town when we got here, he left us little gifts on each of our beds.
brack was so excited
some of his expressions were:
"wow!"
"this is awesome"
"what in the world?"
"my dad is awesome"

I don't think I have heard anyone wish to get sick. That made me laugh! I love the heat in AZ because it is dry. I can't imagine dealing with humidity. I think I would go nuts! Good luck with the everything and stay hydrated!!!

You guys moved out here during the worst time of year! It's also one of the hottest summers that I can remember!!! It's an exciting place to be though and we can't wait to see you!

Wow Linz! It is so crazy how we are going through the exact same things as each other. We are just switching spots. I actually just left the humidity and California feels like a breath of fresh air without it (not really though, because of all of the smog!) Good luck with everything, I know how you feel!

I miss you my friend. Tears still come too easily. Wishing we could share more of all the good we both have and to keep eachother focused on all we can be for our families and friends and eachother. Chin up buttercup-- I see a trip in the near future.
